When I grew up, which was in the 90’s, I grew up with a different kind of school routine. In the mornings the school would either unite together in the school’s hall or on the school grounds. There we will hear about upcoming things for the day and week and the school’s principal will also read out of the Bible and pray. After that we would adjourn to our different classes, a.k.a. our next period on our class timetable. In Grade 1-3 you only had one teacher for the whole of your day. You did not change class. So what happened was that the first half an hour of your day, was a period where your teacher will teach a class that consist of Bible teaching. After that, then only the rest of the day come with other subjects.

In the higher grades, you might not have Bible class in the beginning on your day but later on in another timeslot, depending on how your timetable was programmed for you and your class. But you had a Bible class scheduled on your school timetable.

The reason why this was implemented, was because of what God says in His Word:

Deu 6:5 – 9

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

These days our kids do not have a Bible class in their timetable anymore. This has to do due to respect towards other belief systems which was implemented in the law set rules of basically the whole world. It is as if the Christian belief system is oppressed. The more rules that are set out to oppress any thing like the Christian belief system, the more chaotic this world will become. The thing about God’s Word, it is there to lead us as humans, on the right path. It’s to guide us not to behave in a way that are ungodly, but I know there are many who choose to live against it or to take only a few things out of context out of God’s Word to suit the lifestyles they lead. If I offend someone by what I am saying, the thing is, the truth hurts. God’s Word is truth and whether we like it or not.

Jesus said, or should I state, He asked:

Luk 18:7  And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them?

Luk 18:8  I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

This have been rolling through my head for days on end now. “Will he find faith on earth?”

Will Jesus find faith on earth when He comes again? The thing is if we continue the way we are now, where we do not teach others about God and His Word, will there be faith when Jesus comes? If we do not gather around God’s Word with our family in the evenings, our children will not know Jesus. They will not know how to live their lives and thus they will do whatever the world prescribe, which is ungodly.

Will Jesus find faith when He comes again?

Let us, who are children of God, bring up our children in the Word of God. If we don’t, nowhere else our children will be fed the bread of life. Let’s be responsible and be the salt and light of the world. Let us share the Gospel of Jesus to people. Yes, I have came across many who have pushed me away because of my faith and because of my love for Jesus but keep going. Choose Jesus, choose to tell people no matter what. God says

Do[f] not be afraid of those who kill the body[g] but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.[h]
