Yesterday I’ve asked the Lord, how can one be happy in all circumstances? How can one praise and worship Him, even though it is hard? Even when things don’t go the way we want or even if we don’t get what we ask for?
When things get tough, I call on God and for help from Him and this is right, just as Psalm 50:15 says we must do. That we should cry out in the day of trouble, that He will help us and we should honor Him. But I’ve asked the Lord yesterday afternoon, how should I praise and worship Him, when things are hard, don’t go my way and I feel discouraged?
So last night when I drove from my last client and my heart always break for people who do not know our Lord God. I always want to tell people about Jesus because He is someone who is love, grace, and a friend. Yes, He is also someone who can become angry and discipline us so that we remain on the right path of God’s will (we must never forget it) but Jesus is also one who loves us unconditionally because He laid down His life on the cross for us. He gave His life to us so that one day we may receive eternal life because we believe in Him, that we may be saved (Rom 5: 8/1 John 4: 9 / John 3: 16-18) and because God loves us. This is where the Lord Jesus opened my eyes, in my car from my last client last night. That this should be enough reason for us to praise and worship God. Even in times when things are difficult, in times of drought, we don’t receive what we want and where we are in despair.
It was an eye-opener for me, something that made me think because we get so focused on what we don’t have, what we desire and on the difficult things in our life, that we easily forget that the BIGGEST thing we should be grateful for and that is that Jesus paid for our sins on the cross so that we do not have to go to hell one day because we believe in Him, what He has done for us, that He rose up and sits on the right hand of God the Father and intercedes for us every day as Mediator. Hallelujah!
Be happy with me today, for this reason, let us praise God for it and yes, things are difficult and circumstances but also know that you are not alone. God will not leave nor forsake you and will be there for you. You are not on this road which is called life on earth, alone, and when you and I get to Heaven one day, we will see God who has walked with us all this time here on earth. The One we never left.
